Its been forever since I have updated the blog, sorry! Life just goes so fast sometimes. Its hard to believe that its mid January already. So whats been going on....
Christmas was great. All four girls had a wonderful time with family and friends. Hannah loved every minute of everything that we did. Brooke LOVED to open presents and Brynn and Lexi loved to play with everything that Brooke opened. I feel like the holidays passed by so quickly!
The girls are growing each day and changing. Brynn had what the doctor calls a "language explosion" she is talking like crazy. Literally she went from not saying much to pointing and saying everything over night. Its so crazy! Lexi is still talking a lot and still the tiny one of the group. Brooke is going to have a speech evaluation next week so we will see what that brings. She is so advanced in every other area of her development and is the first to do everything except talk. After speaking to the doctor its normal when you are so advanced in other areas to be alittle delayed in one area. She gets alittle frustrated that her sisters can communicate more than her. She now bangs her cup against the fridge when she wants a drink and hits the pantry when she wants food. She is communicating in her own way! The fridge has a few dents to prove it! They are all three into everything, everywhere! Some days I feel like I can't keep up with them!
We spoke with Children's of Boston about Lexi's back. She had another sonogram done when we were in Atlanta. The doctor was pleased with the sonogram. The macro-cyst appears to have gotten smaller and started to scar over from the treatment. The micro-cysts that were around the macro cysts did not respond to the treatment. This is what the doctor expected to happen. The good news is that the macro cyst responded and is smaller. This is the area that was more prone to infection. So the plan now is to monitor. She will repeat the sonogram in three months to determine if there is any change. It was great news for us that we did not need to return now for more treatment. Most likely she will have to go again but for now we wait and watch. So we will just keep going a day at a time like we always have....
