The doctors finally scheduled the C-Section. It looks like they will make Erin continue this process until June 16, 2008. That would make a total of 26 straight days in the hospital. However, it still could happen any day. If she goes into active labor they will not stop it. But they will not voluntarily perform the C-section until that date.
It really sounds awful, but the longer the triplets stay in the better chance they have for survival and not having birth defects. It is very hard to see Erin go through this, but I know she loves all the encouragement, support, love, and messages.
At least they moved us to a new room which is twice the size and has a shower (old room was a 5x5). Erin is now on a more lax bed rest. She can now shower, use a regular toilet, and move around a tiny bit.
After her first shower in a week, Erin show signs of renewed energy to continue.
Please keep up the comments we enjoy them.
Tom
at least you have peace and quiet. The time will probably go fast and you know the babies will be healthy. I'll get in touch with your mother and see if she needs anything. Hang in there

People often forget how wonderful a shower is, until you're denied one! I'm glad that you're feeling a tiny bit better, every little bit helps, right?
Hang in there even though June 16th sounds forever away right now, it will be worth it when those little peanuts come out wailing and ready for the world! Besides, Tom didn't really want a Fathers Day with no other birthday surrounding it! Hee hee!

Hang in there Erin, you are being so strong for your girls. I can't believe how much the girls weigh now. That is so good! Try to relax (easier said than done) and think about all the joys to come! Take care!

Wow, those weights from the last sonogram sound awesome!!! You are doing amazing Erin...you are going through so much, and already you are just one incredible triplet mom! We keep praying and thinking of you all throughout the day.
Sending big hugs your way,
Kelli

Well June is a lovely month for babies. Our anniversary is the 14th and Rachel's birthday is the 17th. If Erin would like to wait until July, Ben will gladly share his birthday on the 1st! Thinking of you hourly and giving the office daily updates. Zoe

Hopefully, with some privacy and a nice shower you can feel a little more like yourself. Now, hopefully, the days will go quickly. Seven months ago, who would have thought that you'd make it even this long! Your girls are getting stronger every day and preparing for the world. We'll keep praying for some relief for all of you. We love you!!

June 16th...it has to be helpful just having a date in mind for this part of your adventure to be complete. I know that you still could have the babies any time but something tells me that the 16th will be here before you know it. Erin, you are just so determined to do everything that is in the best interest of your daughters -- your tenacity and diligence are truly awe inspiring!! Tom, your loyalty to all of your girls is AWESOME!!! What a great family!! Love and prayers -- The Britton's

You've come so far and done so well for your babies; what a great gift to your girls, what a great start for them. I am praying for your comfort, good health, and uncomplicated delivery - whenever that may be. You'd asked if you could post our site as a link...of course.

Hi Erin and Tom,
I've been thinking of you all week and I was so happy to see the babies' weight gain. June 16 may sound far away, but hang it there, it will be here soon and so worth everything you're going through. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

So glad to hear the news about their weight.
Being a new mom, I can somewhat relate to the shower thing. I bet you feel SO MUCH BETTER! June 12th is a favorite in our family (my lil' bro Rickie's b-day) He'll be 21 this year. WOW, how time flies.
And you WILL be able to say that again soon! The waiting is almost over.
Can't wait for our girls to meet each other this summer! By then you'll be all comfy, back in your home as a family of SIX.
We are checking for your updates 2-3 times a day. Thanks so much for setting up this page! Thinking and praying for you all!

Hey Erin,
I have been logging on a couple times a day ~ this is so great that you all are doing a blog. I read it to Grandma Evelyn too :) We have been thinking about you and sending you loving thoughts. Hang in there. I know June 16 sounds very far away ~ you are doing great. And I echo the other comments on the shower ~ it can make a world of difference :)
Do you need anything? Movies, magazines, anything? Please let me know and I will send them to you.
You are doing great and we are so proud of you.
Love,
Heather

Thank goodness for showers and being able to move around a bit. At least you finally have a definite end in sight. Hopefully it will go fast for you!!

Ugh ugh ugh! I mean, truthfully, when I was at the point Erin's at, I was BEGGING to be ALLOWED to wait another few weeks and they wouldn't let me, but I can also understand the flip side of it!
I will say, it CAN be done. I was having contractions every five minutes while on high doses of terbutaline, plus Procardia and occasionally Indocin for about 2 1/2 months and I felt every one of them (when I came off the terbutaline briefly, all hell broke loose, so that wasn't even an option)... so it IS possible to hang in there with frequent contractions. It sucks, but it's doable.
The good news is she's allowed showers! I was allowed 1 shower a week for 3 months and no showers once I was in the hospital! Gah! I cheated, though, and took one the night before my c-section, figuring the worst that happened was I went into labor! :)
Good luck and I'll try to visit soon. Meanwhile, I'll keep having Seth check in on you.

Wow... a bit more time but everyone is right June 16th will be here before you know it. You've made those little ones comfortable so it is good they can stay to get healthier and a bit bigger. I can't believe how big they are now... that is great news.
My sister was 3 pounds when she was born and she never had issues. Being at 4 pounds and still growing is great. They will be beautiful, healthy little girls - no doubt.
Also the shower thing. I know being a new aunt and going to see my sister every day in the hospital she was SO happy to take a shower. She said it made her feel like her again. So having that "luxury" will make the time go even faster.
Erin - I know you can do this and hang on the next 17 days. Look at what you've done so far... you are amazing and so strong. I can't wait to see you all - it will be my long overdue trip back there.
Love you and hang in there. My prayers are with you all. Go Frostburg girls :) And Tom great job too!
Love - Colleen

Erin & Tom,
Hang in there & stay strong. You are both such amazing individuals with so much strength and courage! The babies weight is a product of how strong you are. They are fighters, just like their momma!!
My thoughts prayers are with you!!!
