All the support and comments are greatly appreciated. It definitely helps Erin make it through the day.
The good news is the she is having one to three contractions an hour. The bad news is that she is still on Magnesium. Even though they cut the dose back Erin is still feeling terrible from the side effects. We are hoping they cut the dose a little more tomorrow if the contractions stay the same or improve.
Everyday the triplets remain in the belly is three less days they have to spend in the NICU. Today we met with the NICU Doctor and RN. They seemed excellent. We were told a statistic that was new to us and alarming. Identical triplets are at a high risk of anemia because they share the same placenta. This means they could need a blood transfusion as soon as they are born. We are checking to see if Bill can be the donor since he is donor regular.
Please keep all of us in your prayers.
Tom

Erin and Tom, I have been praying for all of you all day long. Everyone I know is praying for you too. I know the news about the possibility of blood transfusions is scary, try to remember that the iron Erin got helped the babies too. Can family members or trusted friends donate blood in case it is needed -- might be less scary coming from someone you know. Erin you are an inspiration! Just take things an hour or even ten minutes at a time if you need to, you are doing great. Trust that this is part of the plan and like I told you before, remember how special you are to have been chosen for this awesome role. Much love, many prayers, and if you need me for anything say the word and I will be down there in about 3hrs....

Hi Tom and Erin!
I am glad to hear that the babies have not been born yet. As you said, every day really counts. With our time spent together, I know that the two of you can do this. You are both very strong and supportive of each other. I am so thankful for your friendship, and since we have twins, and you are having triplets, our friendship was not an accident! We are praying for you, the babies, and Hannah. Tell her that Claire is so excited for her. Call if we can be of any help!

Just FYI, preemies are at an increased risk of anemia overall, particularly low birthweight preemies (your babies are all measuring really well for weight right now... all bigger than my triplets were born at 33 weeks). My Abby, born at 2 pounds, 11 ounces had severe anemia and needed a blood transfusion in the NICU. My other two were both anemic but never needed transfusions, just iron supplements (they were not, of course, identicals, so did not have that added risk, but I have had the blood transfusion experience, so I'm here to talk to if you need me).
